A lucky day is not mysticism. The "suitable" and "avoid" entries in the almanac are compiled rules: a given day suits weddings and forbids breaking ground, for specific reasons. We read those, rather than inventing our own standard.
If the avoid list contains the purpose itself, the date is excluded outright — no partial credit.
